Foley the lone Irish survivor  in  Lacanau Alps Open

Royal Dublin’s Hugh Foley was the only Irish player to make the cut in the Lacanau Alps Open in France.

The Dubliner made four birdies and two bogeys in a three-under 69 to share 19th on four-under heading into the final round.

Scores

Foley was four strokes behind leaders Quentin Debove of France(69) and Spaniards Javier Calles Roman (68) and Jorge Maicas (68) at UGolf Lacanau in Nouvelle Aquitaine.

They led by a shot on eight-under from England’s Luca Houlgate (67)., France’s Augustin Hole (65) and Italy’s  Luca Cavalli (69).

They cut fell at two-under par, which meant there was no luck for Ronan Mullarney, who shot 72 to miss out by two shots on level par.

Michael Young was a shot further back after a 71 with Robert Moran three-over after a 74.
