Dare finishes down the order but improves status at PGA TOUR Q-School

Dylan Wu birdied the first playoff hole to secure his PGA TOUR card for 2026 but there was no luck for Dubliner David Carey, who had to settle for conditional Korn Ferry Tour status at the PGA TOUR Q-School in Florida.
Wu and Ben Silverman both finished T5 at 11-under after 72 holes and headed to the 18th at Dye's Valley Course for a playoff for the last of five cards.
Wu made a 20-footer to clinch his card after Canada’s A.J. Ewart (14 under) and Canada’s Adam Svensson, Argentina’s Alejandro Tosti, and Colombia’s Marcelo Rozo (13 under) claimed the top four places.

The remaining finishers include Carey, who finished 160th of the 164 finishers on 15 over.
His card challenge was derailed by opening rounds of 77 and 74 and while he shot 71 in round three, a closing 73 left him well off the pace.
Nevertheless, Carey now has PGA TOUR Americas status and some Korn Ferry status, which is a big improvement on his status at the end of last year.
He hit just 21 of 56 fairways over the four rounds and ranked T162nd for driving accuracy.
He was also T115 for putting after taking 32, 32, 27 and 32 putts in each of his four rounds.
