Alex Maguire romps to six-shot Hilary Links win at The Island; nett for Padraig Harrington
Paddy Spicer, Alex Maguire and Ronan Flood celebrate their team win in the Hilary Links Golf Society outing at The Island.
Alex Maguire shot a brilliant seven under 63 to win the Hilary Links Golf Society Winter outing by six strokes at The Island.
The former Walker Cup player made eight birdies on the temporary, par-70 course that was in play due to winter course work being carried out by architects Mackenzie & Ebert on the first, second, fifth, seventh, 11th and 15th holes.
Maguire also led home the winning team alongside Ronan Flood and Paddy Spicer with a score of 62.
Former South of Ireland champion John Greene from Portmarnock was second in the gross with a 69.
Society President, Pàdraig Harrington, won the nett with a 72, edging out Cormac Sharvin after a countback.
