Seamus Power made six birdies in his last 11 holes as he continued his battle to keep his PGA Tour card at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi.

The West Waterford man (38) needs to finish the season inside the top 100 in the FedEx Cup Fall standings to be fully exempt in 2026, while a move into the top 125 would give him conditional status

At 130th in the standings, Power has just four events remaining after this week to make the leap, and he made a move in the right direction last night when he carded a five-under 67 at the Country Club of Jackson.]

He was one-over for the day through seven holes but birdied the eighth and ninth before reeling off four birdies in five holes from the 11th in a homeward nine of 32.

The Tooraneena man moved up to joint 29th on nine under, just four shots outside the top ten.

He is projected to move up two places in the FedEx Cup standings to 128th but still has today's final round and four more events after this week to make a move.

He's nine strokes behind South Africa's Garrick Higgo, who also shot 67 to lead by two strokes on 18 under, from Steven Fisk and Danny Walker in his quest for a third PGA Tour win.

"I'm going to play as if I'm behind tomorrow and be as aggressive as I can be and make as many birdies as I can," said Higgo, who has been fighting a hip injury since he captured the Corales Puntacana Championship and his second win in April.

On the LPGA Tour, Stephanie Meadow clinched her best finish since the 2024 Olympic Games when she tied for 59th behind Korea's Youmin Hwang in the LOTTE Championship in Hawaii.

Hwang came from a shot behind Japan's Akie Iwai overnight and birdied five of her last six holes — finishing with four straight birdies — to win her maiden LPGA title by a shot from compatriot Hyo Joo Kim on 17 under.

"So before I joined this LOTTE Championship, I didn't think I can be the winner this year," said Hwang, who earned LPGA membership and $450,000 with her win.

"But after playing second round I thought, I might can be the winner if I focus on my play, my own play."

Meadow closed with a 74 to finish on level par and bank $7,547.
