Castleknock to face Castle for AIG Barton Shield; Bearna-Tralee in Junior Foursomes

Quentin Carew continued his dream season when he helped Castleknock make the AIG Barton Shield Final at Tramore where they will take on Castle.
The AIG Irish Close champion and partner Paul Coughlan beat Cork’s Ian O’Rourke and Brian Kelleher by four holes as Ruairi Kennelly and Ian O’Connell beat Gary O’Flaherty and Morgan Cain by one hole to secure victory by five holes.

Castle beat Donaghadee with another former AIG Irish Close champion, Alex Gleeson, in their ranks.
In the AIG Women’s Senior Cup, Douglas, Roscommon, Lahinch, and Dun Laoghaire will face off in tomorrow’s semi-finals.
Douglas face Roscommon as Lahinch take on Dun Laoghaire.
Finally, Bearna will play Tralee tomorrow for the AIG Junior Foursomes title with Laura Rafferty and Ella Moynihan securing the crucial deciding point for Tralee on the 21st.
The AIG Men’s Senior Cup quarter-finals will also begin tomorrow from 09.00 am.
