Lahinch’s Olivia Lucas added her name to the history books at the Co Clare links when she romped to a four-stroke win in the Lahinch Scratch Cup on Saturday.

Born and bred in Liscannor, the two-handicapper edged out international Aideen Walsh in the Bridgestone Women’s Tour event to claim the Vaughan Trophy with rounds of 73 and 76.

Douglas’ Aoife Ni Thuama was third, six strokes behind the winner, with Rossmore’s Kate Dwyer edging out Grange Castle’s Lisa Cullen for fourth place.
