Walsh and Foster move into top 10 at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

Castlewarden’s Lauren Walsh made four birdies in a three-under 68 to move up to tied seventh heading into the final round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Hilton Head Island.

The Wake Forest star is just three strokes behind leader Calynne Rosholt from Arizona State, whose 69 gave her a one stroke lead over Wake Forest’s Carolina Chacarra and Bohyun Park from Texas on three-under par. 

Walsh birdied the fourth, fifth and eighth, bogeyed the 10th but then birdied the 380-yard 18th.

Elm Park’s Anna Foster is ties ninth on one-over after a 71 for Auburn, who are sixth in the team standings on 15-over.

Foster also bogeyed the 10th but birdied the par-five 15th to move three spots up the leaderboard.

Scores

Wake Forest heads the team standings by six strokes from Arizona State on three-over.

Wake Forest will be paired with Baylor and Arizona State for Wednesday's final round.

Once ranked a career high of 10th in the the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Walsh is currently ranked 19th.

She has played five events this season, finishing tied 19th in her most recent start in the ANNIKA Intercollegiate Presented by 3M.
