Conor O’Rourke’s local knowledge proved key as fired an impressive 68 to win the second Irish Scratch Series outing of the season at The K Club’s Palmer Course South.

A four-under par effort by the Naas professional, who represents The K Club on tour, saw him outscore Seapoint amateur Dylan Keating by five strokes.

Jordan Boles won the first nett with a 74 off plus-one with three-handicapper Emmet Savage claiming the second nett with a 75.

The next event will take place on August 9 and the venue will be announced this week on social media.

The entry fee is €50 for professionals and amateurs and €40 for members.

The Irish Scratch Series team plans to bring the event around the country in 2021 and more events will be announced soon.
