Royal Dublin’s Hugh Foley and Carton House’s Keith Egan failed to qualify on a countback for the matchplay stages of the Copa del Rey at Real Club de Golf El Prat in Spain.

Foley shot a second-round 74 and Egan a 76 to leave them on six-over 150 as just one of the seven players on that mark made the top 32 who will battle it out in matchplay stages, which start at the Barcelona venue today.
