Mullarney edges out Grehan and Dawson at Powerscourt

Galway’s Ronan Mullarney claimed the top prize in the Flogas Irish Scratch Series on the East Course at Powerscourt.

The former Irish Amateur Close champion carded a level-par 72 to edge out his former International colleague Stuart Grehan on the last two holes. Gregan claimed second prize from Tramore’s Robin Dawson by virtue of his play over the last six.

Naas’ Conor O’Rourke shot 75 to finish fourth on a countback from Mornington’s Daniel Mulligan.

In the amateur event, John Joe Smyth shot a nett 76 off five to win on a countback from Liam Farrell and Charlie Hendrick with Kevin Barry fourth.
