Four Irish players cruised through the first stage of the Europro Tour Q-School supported by Sky Sports.

Holywood amateur Tom McKibbin finished was one of 25 to progress at the Players Club in Bristol where he tied fifth on level par after a brace of 70s, two shots behind winners David Langley and Leon Fricker. Kilkenny’s Luke Donnelly was seventh on two-over after rounds of 72 and 70. Scores

Galway’s Ronan Mullarney also tied for fifth as 28 progressed at Donnington Grove near Newbury, carding two rounds of 71 to share fourth place on two-under, one stroke behind Cameron Phillps,  Callan Barrow and amateurs Matty Lamb and Jack Gaunt. Scores 

Cork’s John Hickey tied for 11th on four-under as 29 got through to the Final Stage at Luton Hoo Hotel Golf & Spa where Jack Hawksby topped the leaderboard on 14-under after a pair of 66s. Scores

The quartet join former Yale scholar and Irish Close runner up Eoin Leonard, who qualified last week.

All those progressing to Final Stage will earn at least a category 14, with golfers making the Final Stage cut earning a minimum category 10 and the top 30 earning category 3. 

The Final Stage will be hosted across three days at Studley Wood Golf Club and The Oxfordshire Golf, Hotel and Spa from October 14-16.
