Adare Manor and Royal County Down honoured at World Golf Awards

Adare Manor has added three more awards to its collection, headlined by being named 'World's Best Golf Clubhouse' in the latest edition of the World Golf Awards.
The Carriage House at Adare Manor was built to accompany and complement Tom Fazio's total renovation of the golf course back in 2018, with every detail of the off-course escape being considered to deliver a globally recognised 19th hole experience.
The resort was also recognised with domestic honours for its Manor House, named 'Ireland's Best Hotel' and its championship parkland golf course celebrating the title of 'Ireland's Best Golf Course' for the second year running.
The World Golf Awards celebrates and rewards excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses and golf destinations and are voted for by professionals working within the golf travel and tourism industry as well as golf tourism consumers.
Despite the challenges and turbulence to the golf tourism and hospitality industry, votes were cast by hundreds of thousands of golf consumers from a record 129 countries.
Following its recent accolades for Adare Manor, Colm Hannon, CEO of Adare Manor, said: "In what has been a challenging time for many in our industry and for golf courses around the world, this is a wonderful recognition of our team's tremendous efforts. They have gone above and beyond to welcome guests with remarkable diligence and passion throughout the year, when it was safe to do so; none more so than over these recent months.

Following the postponement of the Ryder Cup earlier this year, Adare Manor will now celebrate the centenary year of golf's best-loved competition in 2027, as it welcomes some of the world's best players back to Ireland for only the second time in the prestigious event's history.
Ireland was voted Europe's Best Golf Destination 2020 with Fairways and FunDays voted Ireland's Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator 2020 and Golfbreaks.ie Ireland's Best Outbound Golf Tour Operator 2020.
In Northern Ireland, Royal County Down Golf Club’s Championship Course was considered Northern Ireland's Best Golf Course 202 and the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa Northern Ireland's Best Golf Hotel.
Northern Ireland's Best Outbound Golf Tour Operator for 2020 is Bryan Somers Travel.
