Kilkenny's Jan Browne won the Ulster Girls’ Championship and the Fred Daly Trophy thanks to a 3&2 win over Elm Park's Anna Foster at Warrenpoint.

She led the qualifiers with a two-over 74, edging out Foster on a countback before beating Nicole Joyce Moreno (2&1) and Caoimhe O'Grady (6&5) to reach the final as Foster beat Royal Portrush's Tara Laverty (5&4) and Lahinch's Aine Donegan (5&4).

In the plate for the McLeod Cup, Royal Portrush's Ellen Rodgers beat Ballina's Annabel Greham by one hole.

Girls with a handicap of 21 – 35 competed for the Murland Cup, playing one, 18-hole stableford round in qualifying.

The four available competitors with the leading gross stableford points qualified for match play — Royal Tara's Sophie Sharp, Rockmount's Abbie Poole, Tandragee's Scarlett Taylor and Massereene's Gemma McMeekin.

In the end, it was Sophie Sharp who emerged triumphant, beating Scarlett Taylor at the 19th in the final

All the remaining competitors were eligible to compete for the Clandeboye Goblet on day two and it was Kathyrn Moorehead who took first place, edging out Black Bush's Niamh O'Grady after a countback with 36 points.
