Hilary: Lynch and Doherty tops at Baltray

County Louth Golf Club’s third green

County Louth’s Graham Lynch put his local knowledge to good use to win the fourth Hilary Golf Society outing of the season at Baltray.

The five handicapper returned a fine net 74 in blustery conditions on a course playing its full length. He beat Kevin Knightly (3) from The Royal Dublin by a shot while Corrstown’s Alan Doherty, playing off scratch, shot a fine 76 to claim the gross prize.

The team event was won by Ed O’Keeffe (Corrstown), Finn Sullivan (Forrest Little) and Terry Lilly (Slade Valley) with 65.

The penultimate outing in the series takes place on Sunday, April 7 at Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links. Tee times are from 11.30am to 1.00pm.
