“I am absolutely delighted to have reached an agreement on a new multi-year contract with Srixon/Cleveland Golf,” Lowry said. “This new contract extends my partnership with the brand to 15 years and almost my entire professional golf career since turning pro in 2009.

“With Srixon, I know that I am playing the most consistent and reliable ball in the world, and the new Srixon Z 585 Driver was a critical factor in achieving my first Major win at the Open Championship this year.”

Lowry, 32, turned pro in 2009 and has been a Srixon/Cleveland player nor for 10 years, winning twice on the PGA Tour having followed his 2009 Irish Open win as an amateur with victory in the 2012 Portugal Masters and this year’s HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship.

His six-shot win in The Open at Royal Portrush could not have come at a better time given all his endorsement contracts are up for renewal.

The world No 18, who continues his season in the PGA Tour’s ZOZO Championship in Japan this week alongside Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy, could make far more than $10 million from his equipment contract in bonuses for wins and world ranking achievements.

“All of us at Srixon/Cleveland Golf are thrilled to extend our partnership with Shane,” said Rodney McDonald, Vice President of Tour Operations. “Shane is a great ambassador for our brands, and his continued support delivers worldwide validation for our products. We were all excited to watch him capture his first major title, and look forward to continued success in the years to come.”

Lowry had several other offers but he was keen to renew his relationship with Srixon and Cleveland Golf.

“I would like to sincerely thank all of the people at Srixon/Cleveland, both at the Head Office in Japan and the tour staff across Europe and the U.S. for their long-term faith and commitment to me in ensuring that I’m playing the best equipment every time I tee it up on a weekly basis across the globe,” Lowry said. “I hope to repay this faith with many great days on the golf course in the years ahead.”

Currently, Lowry plays the Srixon Z 585 Driver (9.5°), Z U85 Utility Irons (18° and 20°), Z 585 Irons (4 and 5-Iron), Z 785 Irons (6-PW), Cleveland’s RTX 4 Wedges (50° and 58°), and the Z-STAR XV Golf Ball. Lowry wears a Srixon hat and glove, while using a Srixon Tour Staff Bag.
