Kearney wins in playoff in Egypt

Niall Kearney picked up an early season win when he beat Sweden's Christopher Sahlström for the Mediterranean Tour Final at Allegria in Egypt.

The pair finished tied on 11 under par after 54 holes with Kearney finishing bogey-bogey for a 70 to tie with Sahlström, who shot 67.

Muskerry's Niall Turner tied for third on six under after a 72 with Naas' Conor O'Rourke, who also shot 72, two shots further back. Scores

Sahlström topped the Order of Merit from Scot Ross Kellett and Kearney with O'Rourke sixth overall.
