Golf Clément Ader's Tommy O'Driscoll made the first ace of his professional career en route to the first-round lead at this week's Gecko Pro Tour event in Spain.

The 20-year old had a hole-in-one on the 15th at the Westin La Quinta Golf Resort in Marbella as he posted six-under par 65 to lead by two strokes from England's Matthew Baldwin, David Booth and Blane Breheny and Scotland's Fraser Moore.

After starting with a birdie at the 10th, O'Driscoll birdied the 14th, aced the 15th and then birdied the 16th and 18th to go out in six-under par 30.

He cooled off on the front nine, dropping his only shot of the day at the second before getting it back with a birdie at the fifth to give himself a chance of going one better than last week's play-off loss at Atalaya Golf Country Club.

O'Driscoll's brother, amateur Eamonn O'Driscoll, is 53rd following an 81.
