Jordanstown's Stephanie Meadow brought a miserable 2017 campaign to an end when she missed the 72-hole cut in the LPGA Qualifying School Stage 3 in Florida.

The former Alabama star made just three of 17 cuts before she suffered an L5 pars stress fracture in September.

And while she was confident she could compete at the final stage of the Q-School, she was in big trouble after an opening 78 at LPGA International.

She rallied with a second round 70, but a pair of 73s in the third and fourth rounds were not enough and her six-over-par total of 294 was two strokes outside the top 70 and ties who progressed to Sunday's final round.

Japan's Nasa Hataoka leads by three shots from South Africa's Paula Reto and Hong Kong's Tiffany Chan in the race to finish in the top 20 after 90 holes.
