Castletroy's Chloe Ryan produced a level par 72 to lead Ireland's quartet of survivors into the final round of the Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship.

The Irish Intervarsity champion was two over par for her third round after 11 holes but she dropped just one more shot and picked up three birdies in her last seven holes to share 12th place on four-over par 220 at Montado Hotel & Golf Resort Palmela near Lisbon

The experienced UCD player is eight shots behind Letizia Bagnoli of Italy, who also shot 72 to lead by two strokes on four under par from Sweden's Julia Engstrom (72).

The 54-hole cut for the top 40 and ties fell at 11 over par 227 which meant that Curtis Cup player Maria Dunne (78) missed out by one stroke on 12 over 228 after a bogey four at the 18th.

Sinead Sexton (77) at 17-over and Georgia Carr (83) at 18-over also missed the cut.
