Europro event reduced to 36 holes - Grant the lone Irish survivor

Europro Tour — Stephen Grant was the only Irish player to make the cut as torrential rain forced organisers to abandon the second round of the Glenfarclas Open at Mar Hall and reduce the tournament to 36 holes.

Grant shot a level par 70 in round one as the field was reduced to the top 50 and ties.

Rotherham’s Jonathan Thomson will carry a two-stroke lead into the final round after carding a seven-under-par 63 for his opening 18 on the Earl of Mar Course.
