Dun Laoghaire’s Michael Kelly is tied for sixth with a round to go in the Galvin Green PGA Assistants' Championship at Little Aston near Birmingham.
He added a two under 70 to his opening 71 to lie just six shots behind leader Matthew Webb on three under par.
Balcarrick’s Iarlaith Keane and Douglas’ David Barry are the next best of the Irish, tied for 13th on one under par.
