Challenge Tour — Cormac Sharvin endured a disappointing third round to all but kiss his hopes of victory goodbye in the KPMG Trophy in Belgium.

As Germany’s Alexander Knappe continued his rich vein of form at Cleydael Golf and Country Club, carding a three under par 68 to hold a one shot lead going into the final round, Sharvin slipped 26 places to tied 34th after a one over 72.

The former Walker Cup star is eight shots off the pace on seven under par and a maiden win looks more than remote with 33 players on eight under or better.
