The Darren Clarke Foundation has confirmed that it will provide sponsorship and financial support to Breast Cancer Research for 2016 and 2017 as it continues to run its "Play in Pink" Golf Days in clubs all over the country.

Darren Clarke, the 2016 European Ryder Cup captain said: “This is a natural fit for us and we are delighted to support the Play in Pink Fundraising Golf Days.”

Miriam Hand, Director, Board of Directors of Breast Cancer Research said: “We know that Darren is passionate about his Foundation and in particular breast cancer research. We look forward to working with the Foundation over the next two years and we very much value and appreciate the support and look forward to as many clubs as possible participating.

"We have written to the Lady Captains of each club in Ireland inviting them to participate. Last year €112,000 was raised for Breast Cancer Research to fund world-class breast cancer research at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and our aim is to surpass that amount this year.”
