Irish Schools Senior title for RBAI

David Keery's 19th hole victory over Charlie Marshall gave Royal Belfast Academical Institution a 3-2 win over St Andrew's College in the final of the Irish Schools Senior Championship at Farnham Estate in Co Cavan.

St Andrew's had a 4-1 semi-final win over Connacht champions Calasanctius College from Galway in thanks to wins for Robert Browne (Castle), Charlie Denvir (Milltown) Charlie Marshall (Killiney) and Harry Sutton (Bray).

But RBAI, who beat Kinsale Community School 3-2 in a hard-fought semi-final, proved just to strong in the decider with Keery's victory coming after Peter Kerr (Royal Portrush) and  JJ Logue (Hilton Templepatrick) had claimed the top two matches.
