Tour round-up: Power extends streak, Murphy second, Meadow missed cut

eGolf Professional Tour — Seamus Power's incredible run of form on the eGolf Professional Tour continued on Friday when he racked up his 18th straight round in the 60s.

The West Waterford talent added a 66 to previous rounds of 67 and 65 to go into the final day of The Southern Open at The Club at Irish Creek tied for second on 15 under par, three shots behind leader Jack Fields.

His last rounds in the 70s on the eGolf Tour came on 12 April last and is 67 under par for his 18 rounds.

Power has won just one of his eight starts on the North Carolina based mini tour this year but all his other finishes have been inside the top six, putting him more than $16,000 in front at the top of the money list.

LPGA/LET — Stephanie Meadow's dream start to her professional career ended at Royal Birkdale when she missed her first cut as a professional in the Ricoh Women's British Open. Scores
Third on her debut in the US Women's Open and third in the ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters before qualifying for her second major on Monday, the 22-year old added a 76 to her opening 77 to miss the six over par cut by three strokes.
American  Mo Martin leads (69) leads by three from Breatriz Recari of Spain and Korean's So Yeon Ryu and Sun Ju Ahn on six under par.
Meadow finished tied for eight alongside US Women's Open champion Michelle Wie, who shot rounds of 75 and 78.

Murphy ties for second at The Carrick

PGA Europro Tour — Neil Chaudhuri claimed his first professional title as Waterville's Mark Murphy tied for second in the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour’s Motocaddy Masters at The Carrick on Loch Lomond on Friday.

The Leicester golfer collected £10,000 and a Motocaddy M3 Pro after finishing on eight under par for 54 holes, four clear of Murphy and two-time European Tour winner Bradley Dredge.

Chaudhuri began the day one clear of Murphy on six under and shot a final-round 69 for two under as the Kerry golfer carded a one over 72 to take home £3,750.

Dredge carded the best round of the day, a four-under 67.
