Quality semi-finals but who will win the "West"?

The Radisson Blu sponsored West of Ireland Amateur Open Championship will hail a new champion on Tuesday afternoon. But who will add their name to the illustrious roll call of champions?

With Robbie Cannon going for his third "major" since 2009 and Reeve Whitson, Jack Hume and Gary Hurley all gunning for their first big win on home soil, it promises to be a cracking day at Rosses Point.

Cannon takes on Whitson in the first of the semi-finals with Hume and Hurley reprising last year's meeting in the last 16, when the Naas man won on the 22nd in arctic conditions.

This year it's been sunshine all the way but while the bookie have their favourites (Whitson 7/4, Hurley 5/2, Hume 11/4 and Cannon 7/2) you probably have your own ideas.
