The only man to break par, Cullen leads by four strokes from Carton House’s Shane McGlynn (72) with South of Ireland runner up Paul O’Hara (Kilkenny), Sean Alley (Tipperary) and Eanna Griffin (Waterford) the next best on three over par after 73s

Defending champion Alan Thomas from Dungarvan shot an eight over par 78.
