Ranked 67th in the Challenge Tour rankings, the Galgorm Castle professional made four birdies in a row before the turn and bounced back from a double bogey at the 10th and a bogey at the 13th with birdies at the 14th and 18th.

The Lurgan native is tied for 19th on nine under, nine shots behind Englishman Adam Gee, who shot a third consecutive 66 to lead by two strokes from Spain’s Adrian Otaegui and Italian Andrea Pavan.

Ballymena’s Chris Devlin had a tough day, making just one birdie in a one over 73 to slip back to tied 62nd on two under.
