Mind doctor Karl Morris sets up Irish base

Dr Karl MorrisKarl Morris, whose client list for the past number of years reads like a who’s who of the golfing world, is to join the GUI National Golf Academy as their official Mind Coach.

This arrangement, which will allow Morris to see clients on a private basis at the GUI National Golf Academy, has huge benefits to Irish golfers who had to travel to England to work privately with Morris until now.

Morris will continue to develop his programme of events at the Academy, which will include personal services through to large group sessions which are accessible to everyone. His arrival to the Academy to see personal clients reinforces the Academy policy of being Open to All.

Another development which is likely to emerge from this, is the Mind Factor Golf School, a two-day residential course which is planned for 2012 at the Carton House venue.

Speaking about the move Karl said “I am extremely excited about this arrangement. I have over the years been fortunate to work with some of the world’s best players and I am keen to share some of those discoveries with a wider audience. I have a particular affinity for Irish golf as I have always been made to feel incredibly welcome on the numerous visits over the years. To have a permanent base at such fantastic facilities is a wonderful opportunity for me”

Alan Kelly, Manager of the GUI National Golf Academy said “Karl has been part of the Academy family for some years now and it’s great to have this relationship put on an even stronger footing. Having Karl onsite for longer periods during the year will make him more readily available to Irish golfers, and given his work with the likes of Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Graeme McDowell in the last few years, it’s clear that Karl has immense talent and skill which will be of benefit to all”.

Karl Morris has worked with some of the leading players in the game including Darren Clarke (Open Champion 2011), Charl Schwartzel (US Masters Champion 2011) Louis Oosthuizen (Open Champion 2010), Graeme McDowell (US Open Champion 2010), Lee Westwood (Former World Number 1) and Paul McGinley (Ryder Cup Winner).
