US Ryder Cup skipper Quote Corey Pavin has congratulated Colin Montgomerie on his appointment for the 2010 matches in Wales.

And the pint-sized American will be looking for some revenge after losing two of his three Ryder Cup clashes with the Scot between 1991 and 1995.

Pavin said: “I congratulate Colin on being selected as the Captain for the European Team for the 2010 Ryder Cup. We have known each other for quite a long time and have competed against each other in a few Ryder Cup events. I am sure he will represent Europe very well.”
