Three-putt blues for Turner in Bangladesh

There's more to life than a few three putts, as Niall Turner can attest after a few days in Bangladesh.

Still, the pride of Muskerry would have preferred not to take 31 putts and three putted twice for an opening, two over 73 in the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open on Wednesday.

The Cork man is tied for 92nd place in Dhaka, nine strokes behind Japan’s Shunya Takeyasu and Soomin Lee of Korea who took advantage of their fine form by signing for matching seven-under-par 64s

Takeyasu, who won his maiden Asian Development Tour (ADT) victory in Malaysia last week, returned with a bogey-free round highlighted by seven birdies while Lee, who came off the back of a top-10 finish in Myanmar, was equally impressive at the Kurmitola Golf Club.
