Galbraith had an eagle, four birdies and two bogeys on his card but it was a day to forget for Irish Close champion Alex Gleeson, who shot a 14 over 86.

Gleeson made one birdie, one bogey, three double bogeys and two quadruple bogeys to finish the day ranked 75th in the 79 man field.
