NUI Maynooth's Gary Hurley was tied 26th and Robin Dawson joint 41st in the 54-hole Patriot All-America Invitational in Arizona.

Kyle Kochevar, a junior from the Virginia, shot 2-under 68 and then outlasted Arizona freshman, George Cunningham (66) in a two-hole playoff for the title after they had finished tied on one under on the Gold Course at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park.

The playoff was played on No. 18. Both golfers lipped out birdie putts on the first playoff hole. Cunningham tapped in for par and Kochevar sunk a two and a half foot par putt. Cunningham hit his second playoff drive into the right greenside bunker. Playing from a difficult lie, he left his next shot in the bunker and would go on to record double bogey. With two putts to win, Kochevar sunk a short par putt to win the title.

Hurley closed with a five over 75 to finish the week on 11 over par while Dawson shot 76 to finish on 14 over.
