Former Irish Boys champion Stephen Healy, paired with Hannah Grant received four shots from their opponents Edward Kelly and Esme Murphy, and the Mayo pair ran out comfortable winners by 5 and 4.

Des Griffith and Noreen McHugh won their match for Claremorris, with five shots in hand over Tony Brannock and Joanne Croft by 3 and 2.

Ger Noone and Chrstina Rush sealed victory with a 3 and 2 win over Dermot Usher and Grainne Friel.

This is Claremorris’ first Irish Mixed title and their second national pennant after winning the Jimmy Bruen Shield in 2011.

The Co Mayo club is through the All Ireland semi-finals of the Pierce Purcell Shield at Royal Tara where they will face Corrstown on September 19th.
