Hemstock beat Daniel Gavins, who lost out in a playoff for the second week running despite shooting a course-record equalling 64, after pair finished tied on 12 under par. Scores

McGee, who won his Stage One qualifier at the European Tour School Section B last week, was four over after 10 holes but eventually closed with a level par 71 to finish five shot outside the playoff on seven under.

It was his fourth Top-10 finish in his last five starts on the satellite circuit with a cheque for £1,200 leaving him 30th in the money list.

That means he qualifies easily among thr top 60 for the 888poker.com Tour Championships at Prince’s next month and will be joined in the field by Tim Rice (22nd), Colm Moriarty (29th), Mick McGeady (32nd) and Paul Cutler (58th).

The Top-five in the final money list earn Challenge Tour cards.

Rice closed with a 75 at Moore Allerton to finish joint 22nd on two under with Neil O Briain a shot further back after a 70.

Highlights of the Clipper Logistics Championship will be broadcast at 8pm on Sky Sports 3 on Tuesday, October 8, repeated four times on Wednesday, October 9.
