Stephen Grant has a lot of work to do to qualify for the Tour in the US. Birr’s Stephen Grant added a level par 71 to his opening 72 to leave himself a mountain to climb at the Second Stage of the Q-School in Florida.

The former footballer, who has made huge strides as professional golfer in recent years, finds himself tied for 56th in the 77-strong field, six strokes outside the top 20 and ties who will progress to next month’s Final Stage. Scores
