The British Amateur champion, who plans to tee it up in the European Tour Q-School later this month, needed a break after a hectic summer and decided against a trip to Hilversumsche where amateurs Robin Kind and Daan Huizing are honing their games.

Dunbar had a disappointing St Andrews Trophy at Portmarnock last week, losing all four of his matches but now has a chance to regain some confidence on the famed Donegal links.
