Paul O’Hanlon blasted a sensational seven under par 65 to win the Hi5 Protour’s Altorreal Winter series Tour final in Spain.

Four strokes off the pace and tied for tenth starting the third and final round, the 24-year old Newbridge man birdied the first two holes to get his title challenge off to the perfect start.

Paul O’Hanlon lets flyHe then sandwiched a bogey at the seventh between birdies at the sixth and eighth to turn in four under 32 before flying home in three under 33 with birdies at the 10th, 14th, 16th and 18th and a one stroke win over Iceland’s Stefan Mar Stefansson and Spain’s Ignacio Sanchez on eight under par.

Ruaidhri McGee tied for 16th on three over after a closing 70 with Cork’s Michael Collins tied 20th on five over after a 74.
