Launch Pad at Liberty National

Will Padraig Harrington win another PGA Tour title before he turns 38?

Entering tonight’s final round of The Barclays at Liberty National, the Dubliner is just five strokes adrift of leaders Paul Goydos and Steve Marino after a sensational finish to his third round.

Five birdies in his last seven holes for a back nine of five under par 30 gave Ireland’s triple major winner a four under par 67 and an outside chance of triumphing on the eve of his birthday.

More interestingly, he’s tied for seventh place with Tiger Woods, Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar and Ian Poulter on four under par.

Woods certainly believes he can come through to take his 71st PGA Tour win.

After cutting the deficit on the leaders from eight shots to five, the world No 1 was asked what would mean striking distance.

“I guess anything seven or less,” he said.
